A large and rare river stone by Carl Aubock. These were made when Aubock was at his house on the Danube, he took these stones and changed their inherent nature by ‘outfitting’ them in leather. One such stone could be found on the desk of Walter Gropius, gifted to him by either CA II or CA III – both of whom he became acquainted with at Bauhaus Weimar and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively.
